14 short stories by Karin Rekowski © 2011
Train stations, airports and roadhouses are the settings for an innumerable amount of stories. On any day old ladies, young tourists, nervous business people, newspaper-reading commuters meet and separate there, deliver parcels, discuss banalities or secrets. Those locations are functional, they are places to pass through, not ultimate destinations. Stories that start here end somewhere else. Those places are only witnessing snap shots. “Lost endings“ comprises 14 photographic short stories about people whom I do not know. I followed them for a certain amount of time until I lost them. The series ends abruptly, even to me the endings of my stories are unknown.
